Brits Nonwoven: Turning trash into treasure
At Brits Nonwoven, we recognise the role we play in protecting our natural environment. As part of our commitment to making a positive impact on the world in which we live and work, we have a robust environmental policy, as well as a constant drive to find innovative ways to transform waste materials into valuable products.
A comprehensive Environmental Management Policy
At a base level throughout our organisation, our stringent Environmental Management Policy ensures a range of environmental protection measures, including:
- Preventing pollution through waste minimisation and reducing resource consumption and emissions
- Complying with the relevant environmental legislation, regulations and industry codes
- Pursuing constant improvements through the reviewing of objectives and targets
- Providing our employees with environmental awareness training
We are also in the process of implementing the ISO 14000:2015 environmental standard at all our facilities.
A commitment to upcycling
Beyond our company-wide eco-protection policies, we actively prevent waste from heading to landfills by using waste materials to develop our high-quality nonwoven products wherever possible.
From automotive components to apparel, blankets, filtration and so much more, we have developed a system of recycling waste, removing impurities and turning the new material into nonwovens imbued with a range of properties to suit their end application.
Our Isotherm thermal insulation is made from recycled PET bottles, stopping millions of recyclable bottles from clogging our land and oceans. Not only is Isotherm made from 100% recycled materials, it is 100% recyclable as well, so when its long service life is over, it too can be upcycled.
Through our Environmental Management Policy, we even upcycle our own waste. Recyclable offcuts are never sent to the landfill, but are repurposed for another high-quality product.
So if you’re looking for a clean, green nonwoven solution, choose Brits today.
