The key focus is on new recycling concepts that support the implementation of a circular economy. A significant portion of our input raw materials come from a recycled base and 100% of our non-woven finished products can be fully repurposed into new non- woven end products again.
We source our environmentally conscious materials from certified organizations to ensure that we do our part to protect natural resources. We believe in a future based on increased utilisation of natural raw materials and bio-based solutions.
Brits is registered with the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries Affairs as an approved textile waste processing facility. On a monthly basis we recycle and convert between 100 to150 tons of discarded textile products and second-hand clothing back into shoddy flock. for conversion into new recycled products. This prevents large volumes of these products ending up as landfill.
